It was a rebellion of the Irish people to the English's authorities in the Easter's day of April the 1916 to the independence of United Kingdom.

I like the song and the subject, but I don't like the video. In my opinion, the video is very impact but it shows the reality that the Irishmen lived in the XX century.

ReplyDeleteThis song is powerful and draws respect and opens the eyes of people. Her voice in the song adds to that, sounding so angry and so powerful yet when she talks about the innocent things . The point of the song is about the evils of war, and trying to open peoples eyes. I think that when she says Zombie, she means zombie, as in a mindless zombie with only one goal: War and destruction.

I liked the song because it has a real event and denounces a horrible situation but the video is very shocking.

Easter Rising was a rebellion by the Irish people against the UK and its colonialism which happened on Easter Monday in 1916. They wanted to be free and independent. Karen Dominguez
